The role

Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage risks parameters through trading flow, participating and following up trade operations (especially leveraged clients).
- Design and implement pre-trade and post-trade rules to improve risk management, in collaboration with business and operational teams.
- Utilize risk models and market parameters to calculate and assess the risk associated with each asset and operation within the client portfolios.
- Contribute to the development of new financial products process as its approval and alignment with bank's risk appetite and regulatory standards.
- Review and enhance risk framework, including procedures, controls, and monitoring techniques.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and review of policies and procedures aimed at mitigating risks through trading execution.
- Support the adherence of client trading activities to Luxembourg and EU regulatory requirements, as applicable.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit risk analysis and another 5 years in banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of credit risk concepts, financial analysis, and rating methodologies.
- Proficiency in risk systems and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Moody’s, Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese, any other European languages (especially Spanish) would be an advantage.

Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in structured finance, project finance, or venture debt.
- Knowledge of ESG-related credit risk factors.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are an asset.
