Lombard Odier (Europe) S.A.'s (LOESA) Risk Management department is responsible for the anticipation, identification, measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of all risks to which the bank is or may be exposed, including financial and operational risks.

In this context, the Risk Management department monitors existing and emerging risks, assesses them and reports them to senior management, the Group and the relevant regulators. It helps companies to manage their risks, providing advice to promote risk awareness on an ongoing basis.

YOUR MISSIONS:
The position of Senior Risk Officer is part of the second line of defence of LOESA risk management function, with a particular focus on operational risk management coverage (80%) and additional exposure (20%) to the management of other types of risk (financial risks).

Primary focus (80% in operational risk):
- Promotion a sound risk culture and general attitude towards operational risks within LOESA Europe (trainings, awareness sessions etc.)- Set-up and monitoring of LOESA’s risk tolerances and Key Risk Indicators- Developing and operating an appropriate risk control infrastructure, in line with the internal and regulatory requirements- Participation in the ongoing assessment and challenging of the Bank’s control environment and its efficiency- Preparation of the periodic reporting of Operational Risks to Authorized Management and the Board of Directors- Monitoring of logged issues & actions in the Bank’s Operational Risk Management system and assistance in their implementation- Operational Incident management, monitoring and reporting- Participation in Risk and Control Self Assessments- Contribution to the New Business Initiatives Committee of the Bank- Regulators: Contribute to the regulatory reporting and the relation with the different local regulators (e.g., assist in preparation of the periodic reporting to the CSSF, onsite visits and similar)- Analyze and implement regulatory changes in the field of Operational Risk Management in the Bank

Additional tasks (20% mainly Financial Risks):
- Assist in the performance of daily and weekly control tasks in Financial Risk Management (Credit Risk, Counterparty Risk, Liquidity Risk, etc.)- Contribute to other tasks and deliverables covered by the scope of the LOESA Risk Management function in case of need

Management and Reporting- Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer- No direct staff management responsibility

Counterparties and clients- Key Internal Contacts: Group Risk Management, Authorized Management LOESA, LOESA Risk Management, Business Risk Managers, Compliance Function, Internal Audit Function- Key External Contacts: External auditors, local regulators

YOUR PROFILE:
- University Master/degree in Finance, Economics or related fields, or evidence of comparable academic / work achievement- 8 to 10 years’ experience ideally in a control function and/or with exposure to private banking, banking operations & technology/IT in a bank or “Big 4”- Sound knowledge of the common operational risk management techniques- Strong results-oriented and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously, multi-task, work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic business and project environment- Ability to prioritise tasks and self-organise- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as a team player- Proficient user of MS Office tools (Excel and Access advanced use including sample techniques, pivot table reports, data crunching) and Think-cell- Fluent in English and French; excellent communication (written and verbal), networking, influencing and presentation skills, any other languages a plus
