Our environment is one in which high performance is expected, in return, we will provide you with rewards and opportunities tailored to your personal and professional goals. **The Opportunity** - Work in a market leading international practice, launching our Luxembourg office with high-calibre fee earners in a collegiate and entrepreneurial "start up" environment - Regular collaboration with our international network in addition to working hand-in-hand with the Luxembourg Corporate and Corporate Tax teams. - Advising on structuring, setting up, registering and operating Luxembourg regulated and unregulated funds that invest in various assets, especially alternative ones, for professional and retail investors. - Advising institutional investors on their alternative fund investments in different jurisdictions, co - investments, secondaries and fund financings. - Involvement in cutting-edge fund formation transactions involving establishing all types of funds (listed & unlisted) and asset management corporate work. - Advising major leading, domestic and international, fund management houses, financial institutions and corporates sponsoring, managing and investing in funds. - High degree of client contact, leading and negotiating transactions with limited supervision. - Lead, delegate, and manage work - lead on client matters, including negotiation and the preparation of proposals, estimates and pitches; delegate work to juniors, supervising the team to support optimal utilisation; keep partner(s) informed and assist partners to monitor and control progress against agreed objectives, scope, timelines and budgets. - Manage client relationships - regularly engage with client and keep informed of progress; ensure all compliance and risk management processes are followed; propose fees and manage client expectations as to cost, quality and time; and seek opportunities for new work with existing and new clients. - Support the firm and others - extend effective relationships across the global network; contribute to the development of team members; uphold the firm’s values; contribute to the firm’s initiatives; take steps to cultivate an excellent reputation and profile in the market and internally; attend marketing/industry events and draft or help prepare articles, precedents and know-how materials; lead the development and delivery of training and presentations. - Comply with risk requirements, firm policies and all relevant professional responsibilities and legislation and contribute to billing, engagement and client acceptance processes. **Key internal relationships** - Group partners, solicitors/associates, trainees/graduate solicitors, paralegals, secretarial staff **Key external relationships** - Clients, peers, contacts, other firms and professions (eg financial advisers, intermediaries, experts and local lawyers) **Practice group/team** The firm’s funds and asset management practice acts for a broad range of institutional and boutique asset managers on a full range of transactional matters. The fund formation practice is a particular strength and encompasses listed investment companies, private GP-LP fund structures and more complex regulated funds, such as authorised contractual schemes, LTAFs and ELTIFs. We act for general partners active across a broad range of assets including private equity, real estate, infrastructure and energy investments and have the advantage of the firm’s extremely strong downstream practices in those areas. Impact investing has been a particular theme recently. We also act for investing LPs, including sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, fund of funds managers and charities. We do not operate in silos but offer clients a single cohesive and collegiate team covering fund formation, regulatory and specialist tax structuring expertise. - Recent Matters_ - Advising on (i) the establishment of an SCI (French investment property); and a OPCI (French property regulated fund) and (ii) the reorganisation of a French real estate portfolio for AEW Europe Value Investors. - Advising HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) on the launch of its flagship green bond fund, HSBC Real Economy Green Investment Opportunity GEM Bond Fund, which will use both public and private capital to build climate change-mitigation capacity in emerging market economies. - Adv
