**Description of the task**:

- CLOUD Operations specialist (CLOUDS)
- Define configuration management and deployment strategies for Cloud resources.
- Ensure availability and stability of cloud production environments.
- Develop, and design software automation and scripts to orchestrate cloud and virtualization technologies with defined scope, schedule and expectations with a focus on Operations.
- Design and implement DevSecOps capabilities (e.g. observability, continuous monitoring, tractability).
- Analyze and tune information systems performances.
- Security administration and monitoring, in adherence to the security rules imposed by the Commission’s central security service (complemented by local rules where needed); under supervision of the LISO (Local Information Security Officer).

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- The Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
- Very good knowledge of IT Governance processes
- Ability to manage and execute service verification and validation tasks efficiently and fast
- Ability to give business and technical presentations
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in the EOSC EU Node system of systems
- Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Analysis and problem solving skills
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
- Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills

**Specific Expertise**:

- Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
- There will be a collaborating relationship between the external contractor and the managed service. providers of the EOSC Node (i.e., EOSC Node Contractor(s)), where both set of Contractor(s) add direct value to the overall service quality.
- The external contractor shall be able to assess the software tools proposed by the EOSC Node Contractor(s) to fulfill the functional and service level specifications of the procurement, as well as the cloud-based service delivery model (hosting and operations) requirement, for code quality, licensing, pre-existing IPR, service quality, and deployment, among others.
- The external contractor shall be able to collect and summarize EOSC user community feedback (based on information provided by the EOSC Node services Contractor(s)) to assess the fitness of EOSC EU Node services to the users, and to assist future planning.

- Project Management Professional (PMP).
