Schroders aspires to be a data led organisation. We require someone to translate our Enterprise Data strategy into a Data Mesh, with supporting platform and services from Enterprise Technology, that enables the success of our client-focussed activities.
As the Head of Corporate Data Services, you will be accountable for developing and overseeing the implementation of data management. mastering and integration initiatives across the organisation. Reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Technology, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure that data is collected, processed, and governed efficiently and accurately to drive informed business decisions.

**The team**
The Technology team works very closely with all Global Technology domains and most of our business functions regarding the provision of mastering and distribution of shared operational data to create and maintain technology platforms with an emphasis on a stable operating environment that can function at multiple speeds and levels of scale. Our primary goal is to deliver value through Technology domain expertise and robust solutions to our customers.
**The base**
The Luxembourg office of Schroders is a modern and dynamic workplace located next to the Airport and well-connected to the city center through public transportation.
The office itself is spacious and well-designed, with open-plan workspaces and plenty of natural light. The decor is modern and professional, with a focus on creating a comfortable and collaborative working environment.
**What you’ll do**
You’ll will be responsible for the overall management and execution of the Corporate Data strategy, technical architecture and delivery of technology solutions whilst working collaboratively alongside the Enterprise Data team who are responsible for the overall data strategy.
The position has responsibility for a large team of around 40, split across Luxembourg and London, India and Madrid.
**The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help**
- A Technology Leader who can drive the next stage development of the Data Function
- Will have managed delivery to a global client base and involving delivery teams in more than one location
- Ability to deal credibly with both business staff and technical users at all levels of the organisation, with strong senior stakeholder management skills
- An individual with both strong business and technical skills, ideally strong knowledge of Corporate data management and platform experience with significant focus on how Data supports those sales and marketing business functions
- Have a demonstrable track record of delivering large scale complex change
- Proven track record of managing successful engagement leveraging 3rd party vendors, offshore and near-shore
- Strong understanding of both cloud and virtualisation tools such as Snowflake, Streamsets.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Azure Synapse
- Experience of analytics - Azure Analysis Services / SQL Server Analysis Services - Multi-dimension Cube
- Experience of reporting - PowerBI / Tableau / Alteryx / AnaPlan / Oracle BI
- Experience of Master Data Management - Profisee
- Experience leading teams who are responsible for engineering software - predominantly using the Microsoft Tech stack including C#,.Net, Azure & Python
- Experience of leading teams in a DevOps environment
- Strong understanding of software development and architecture principles
- Strong understanding and experience of working within a data focused organization
- Experience of leading teams delivering software via both Agile and waterfall methods
- Track performance of, and ongoing improvements, for delivered initiatives using core KPIs of NPS, Satisfaction & Goal Achievement
