As a Senior Compliance Officer you will be involved in Intertrust’s organisation with the aim of preventing, by all reasonable means, the occurrence of compliance risks (risks relating to legal or regulatory sanctions, financial loss or damage to the reputation of Intertrust) which could result from a failure to comply with applicable laws and regulations or internal rules and standards. The Compliance Officer will promote efficient and sound business processes and practices, risk-informed decision-making, effective risk mitigation measures, accountability, and compliance with laws & regulations applicable to a Professional of the Financial Sector (PSF).
The main objective of the Senior Compliance Officer is to prevent, by all reasonable means, the occurrence of compliance risks (risks of legal or regulatory sanction, financial loss or damage to the reputation of ITL Luxembourg) that the Company may suffer as a result of its failure - or failure of one of its employees - to comply with applicable laws and regulations or internal rules and standards)
Compliance aims at stimulating, monitoring and controlling the observation of laws, regulations, internal rules - including the Intertrust Principles of Business Conduct - and ethical standards that are relevant to the integrity and, hence, to the reputation of Intertrust.
**Some of the things that you will be doing**:
- Analyze and assess onboarding documents prepared for the local acceptance committee and identification of key risks;
- Draft/ write compliance advice for, and notes/minutes of, local client acceptance committee meetings;
- Participate in team meetings (sharing experience, knowledge, addressing critical matters and suggesting improvements);
- Keep up to date with new regulations, laws, Circulars, and newsletters, proactively share these updates;
- Draft the quarterly compliance report for the Group, Chief & Risk Compliance Officer and the local management;
- Provide guidance to the Compliance officers and Junior Compliance officers;
- Share of new practices and developments in the compliance field, promotion of compliance culture and awareness across Intertrust;
- Provide training to new joiners: teach and contribute to trainings and/or update on training materials.

**What technical skills, professional experience, and qualifications do you need **?
- University degree in business, economics, or finance
- 3-5 years of professional experience in compliance functions
- Solid understanding of the fiduciary offered in the funds and domiciliation industry
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure
- Must be committed and driven to achieving excellence
- Strong personality to challenge anyone about any action in an appropriate and balanced manner
- Team-player with hands on and proactive approach to creative solutions
