Our client, an independent asset manager, specializes in discretionary asset management and estate planning.
**Job description**
As a Senior Compliance Officer, your role involves:
- Creating policies for monitoring counterparties and institutional clients, covering risk assessment, review schedules, and collecting KYC documents.
- Providing analysis and guidance to the Chief Compliance Officer on regulatory matters like MIFID 2, ESG, Market Abuse, Conflict of Interest, and Governance.
- Implementing the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
- Reviewing KYC files for partner banks/clients during ongoing due diligence.
- Assessing risks for each counterparty through drafted analyses.
- Conducting periodic on-site checks at counterparties' locations.
- Writing reports and action plans for the Management.
- Identifying and evaluating relevant regulatory changes.
- Assisting and training employees on compliance-related topics.
**Profile**
- University degree in economics or law.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in banking compliance in Luxembourg.
- Strong knowledge of banking compliance regulations.
- Expertise in AML/CTF controls and compliance.
- Advantageous to have experience in operations/back office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; knowledge of Luxembourgish and Dutch is a plus.
