We bring hands-on science to children across Luxembourg.
Junior Einsteins Science Club runs fun science workshops, after-school clubs, holiday camps, and birthday parties. We work with children aged 4 to 12 across Luxembourg. We are building a friendly team of science lovers. We are hiring Science Instructors now. You can start right away.
You do not need a science degree. We give you full training, scripts, and all the equipment you need. We care most about your energy and your love for working with children.
The role
As a Science Instructor, you will travel to schools and events across Luxembourg. You will run fun science sessions for children. The sessions include slime, rockets, plasma balls, and many other exciting experiments. Every session is different. You will see the real impact of your work.
This is a part-time role with flexible hours. You will work across three main types of event.
- You will run after-school science clubs on weekday afternoons. These usually run from about 2pm to 5pm.
- You will lead school holiday camps during the mid-term breaks and the summer. These usually run from about 9am to 1pm.
- You will host birthday parties and workshops on Saturdays and Sundays. What you will do
- You will run fun, hands-on science sessions from the Junior Einsteins programme.
- You will keep the children safe and well during every event.
- You will represent Junior Einsteins Science Club in a professional way with parents, schools, and partners.
- You will look after the equipment and materials we give you.
- You will report to the franchise owner or the activity coordinator. What we are looking for
- You are enthusiastic and good with children aged 4 to 12.
- You have experience working with children. Experience with this age group is a plus.
- You are reliable, you are on time, and you take your work seriously.
- You have strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- You enjoy science and STEAM. You do not need a formal qualification.
- You work well on your own and as part of a team. Requirements:
- You must have a full driving licence and a reliable car. This is essential. You will carry equipment between venues. Buses, taxis, bikes, and car-sharing will not work for this role.
- You must be proficient in English or French. You will use your main language with children, parents, and schools. Good skills in the other language are an advantage.
- You must be free on weekday afternoons. You must also be free on some weekends and during school holidays.
- You must have your own laptop and a smartphone with GPS.
- You must be happy to travel within Luxembourg.
- You must provide a criminal record extract (bulletin N°5) before you start. This is a legal requirement for working with children in Luxembourg.
