In addition to our 2050 net-zero target, we have recently set a Group target of reducing our CO2e emissions intensity by 25% by 2030, and in our European operations, by 35% by 2030. These targets are deliberately the most ambitious of any steelmaker, reflecting our intent to drive meaningful decarbonisation progress this decade.
To support this innovative and ambitious project, we are hiring a **Communication Specialist to **b e the Program’s brand guardian, create compelling and consistent communication in line with program narrative and its impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver program’s communication strategy that will drive awareness, understanding, and engagement across all stakeholder and clusters groups.
- Partner and advise to senior executives in their communication efforts related to the program.
- Collaborate to create a communication framework for the transformation and ensure alignment and agreement to it across the organization.
- Lead the end-to-end organization and management of all events, across all aspects from logistics, message development, through to on the day support
- Carefully listen and engage through program events and community interactions - from fireside chats to all-hands calls to design and deploy the program’s identity and narrative.
- Partner with program SMEs, Clusters and Program leads to turn process and technical content to powerful and engaging stories and multimedia.
- Manage and develop materials for program events, stakeholder engagement sessions, newsletters, web and SharePoint pages, blog posts, video scripts and other media types.
- Innovate and bring fresh ideas for communication and engagement and lead the implementation of them.
- Translate process maps into exciting experience journeys for identified personas
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Communications or related field (journalism, public relations, advertising Marketing) or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional design and storytelling skills, including content and copywriting.
- Scrupulous attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Hard-working with a can-do attitude to getting projects done and delivered on time.
- Ability to confidently discuss work with senior leads and technical experts.
- Skilled in Adobe InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Proficient in Office tools. Native English speaker, any other European Language will be considered as an asset.
