Our client, a leading European Commercial Group facing significant growth, is looking to recruit for their Luxembourg offices a: **Senior Accountant - English (M/F)** Reporting directly to the Head of Accounting, you are responsible for accounting and administrative activities, covering among others the following tasks: **Major responsibilities**: - Day to day bookkeeping - Take "ownership" of your part of the General Accounting (GL, AP & AR) of the several companies; - Follow-up of the - day-to-day » accounting activities; - Develop accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls in accordance with the Head of Accounting’s guidelines - Support the Accountant Manager with month end and year end close process; - Liaise with the companies of the group related to intercompany reconciliations - Preparation of monthly and/or quarterly and annual financial reports (as interim accounts, BCL report, VAT returns both locally and internationally, and others required); - Preparing general ledger and trial balance report for review - Follow-up on the customers and the suppliers account balances; - Develop accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls **Profile requirements**: - Open and transparent communication with the Accounting Manager; - Post secondary academic degree in accounting; - At least 5**+ year’s professional experience in accounting;**: - **Fluency in English and French, Italian **is considered a plus; - Ability to work autonomously as well as an **excellent team player;**: - Accuracy and attention to detail - Experience in working in cross-functional and multicultural environments; - Proficiency in Excel (macros, VLOOK UP, complex Pivot, ) - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude; - Ability to set priorities. - Good knowledge in SAP **Our offer**: - A permanent contract; - A salary in line with your education and experience; - 13 Months, lunch vouchers (10,80€) - A complementary health insurance - A challenging job in an international group.
