**Job Description**:
Our client, a prestigious investment company, is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to support private equity holding companies and private equity fund structures. You will ensure compliance and governance from financial and operational perspective.
Our client offers you the opportunity to join a small and growing Finance team where you will engage with multiple stakeholders in Luxembourg and across the Group.
Responsibilities include:
- Support senior management to oversee the financial, legal and operational administration of SPVs (and fund structures)
- Review accounting for the company’s entities/structures in Luxembourg including annual and semi-annual financial statements; ensuring tax compliance as well
- Provide support with regards to transactions; e.g. provide fund/cash flow information
- Ensure policy and procedure adhered to; including internal controls and governance for reporting and operational requirements
- Participate in required meetings, including board meetings
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on various requirements to ensure efficient operational process
- Strong accounting skills, ideally with a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA ) or part qualified
- Up to 5 years of similar work experience, ideally Private Equity (or Real Estate or Debt investments), with knowledge of unregulated entities/SPVs.
- previous employment in the finance team, working in trust accounting and experience of completing accounting tasks for SPVs and other investment vehicles in Luxembourg
- Pro-active attitude to problem solving; solution orientated and with continuous improvement mindset
- Fluent in English both written and verbal, other languages advantageous
