Trainee Lawyer

**Department purpose**

Our Financial Services Regulatory department at A&O Shearman Luxembourg is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services in the dynamic field of banking and financial regulations. Our international team advises banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, investment funds, Fintech & crypto-asset services, insurers and reinsurers, payment platforms, regulators and corporates in a wholesale and retail context.

**Role purpose**

We are currently looking for a Trainee Lawyer for our Financial Services Regulatory team.

**Key requirements**
- You possess a Law degree, preferably with distinction. An additional degree from an American or English university - LL.M. - would be an asset.
- You have attended or are eligible to attend the CCDL or the equivalent in another EU jurisdiction.
- You are fluent in both written and spoken English and French.
- A first experience in a regulatory department is considered an asset.
- You are a team player, proactive and have excellent communication skills.
- You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and client service are essential to our business and the business of our clients.
- You have a sense of responsibility and are committed to producing quality work.
