Employee Purchasing

We are looking for a buyer to join the Luxembourg Purchasing cluster of ArcelorMittal Europe - Long Products on a **fixed term contract **. Job location: Belval site (Esch-sur-Alzette)

**The main responsibilities are as follows**:

- Managing a distinct portfolio of goods of a defined purchase category and/or supplier group
- Converting purchase requisition to purchase order
- Creating / maintaining SAP contracts and price lists when required. Analysing price developments
- Preparing and launching tenders, analysing results, negotiate final conditions and defend choices with internal clients
- Managing of web cycles in cooperation with finance department, Warehouses and suppliers
- Maintaining close contact with suppliers and internal clients:

- Giving support to the resolution of claims/disputes and operational issues (i.e. incorrect invoices, delivery delays, urgencies etc.)
- Supporting internal clients in their day-to-day requests
- Acquiring a good Market knowledge
- Support the clients with market & supplier knowledge and develop a good technical understanding of purchased goods

**Our expectations**:

- Previous experience as a line technician or previous experience in purchasing/logistics is a plus
- Experience with IT systems (preferably SAP MM)
- Ease of working with contracts, synthesizing information to develop concise summaries
- Good General knowledge on MS Office
- Strong organization and analytical skills
- Good knowledge of French and English (German is a plus)
- High energy and enthusiasm
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
