Dws - Trade Operator / Transaction Operator (M/w/d)

**Overview / Purpose of the Role**:
The Service Operations (Operations) Profession is responsible for the delivery, oversight and management of functional teams undertaking operational and transaction-based processes, working within agreed policies, procedures, Key Performance and Risk Indicators. Operations objectives include designing and implementing a robust control environment that allows and drives efficient and effective processing. The environment should ensure we meet regulatory requirements and can verify the completeness and accuracy of all transactions and operational processes. The objectives include operational assurance on the integrity of the books & records and deliver effective service to our clients. Operations develop and maintain effective relationships across client and partner groups.

The Trade and/or Transaction Operator provides operational expertise and independent governance to achieve timely, accurate and complete transaction management for Deutsche Bank and, where relevant, the bank’s clients.

The Trade and/or Transaction Operator’s responsibilities include technical, transactional and logístical input into the leadership team to ensure the Bank operates with the right balance of quality, flexibility, control and cost. This is achieved through collaboration across businesses and divisions in an environment which maximises control and minimises operational risk, whilst maintaining exceptional client or internal customer/stakeholder (as appropriate) service levels.

The Trade and/or Transaction Operator strives to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with internal partners and/or external clients (as appropriate) and within the wider market in order to improve market practices and platforms. The Trade and/or Transaction Operator builds and manages partnerships between internal businesses to ensure that the Bank’s business objectives are delivered, comply with operational control, external regulation and continue to improve the Bank’s technology platforms, as appropriate. Where relevant, they focus on new business initiatives and working as a team to ensure full front-to-back operational readiness for products ranging from high-volume vanilla trading through to highly-complex structured transactions.

Regulatory change and an ever-evolving business environment mean that the Trade and/or Transaction Operator must continually provide input and creative innovative solutions to deliver efficiencies, and protect the bank and its shareholders.

**Key Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Processing of transactions in the share business, the settlement of payments and foreign exchange transactions (including the execution of all necessary audits)
- The accounting processes include time sensitive, complex and regulatory

regulated tasks requiring interaction with internal and external parties
- Monitoring of automated program runs in accounting in day-to-day business
- Monitoring automatic order dispatch to depositaries
- Processing / booking account and securities account statements (cash and shares) including manual bookings; document approvals; posting of shares in customer custody accounts

**Other activities and responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, may be entrusted with the function holder.**

**Requirements to access this function (ex. **Education & Work Experience )**:

- Commercial education
- 1-2 years of professional experience / 5-6 years of professional experience in accounting or equivalent
- First experience / relevant experience in the field of securities business, especially in the payment transaction processing and in the currency order business
- Mastery of technical settlement systems, in particular a high level of understanding of technical and manual accounting procedures
