**Job Specification**

**Department Overview**:
Based in Luxembourg, as part of the Financial Institutions Sector Coverage, EMEA Fund Finance (“FF”) is responsible for the origination and execution of new lending transactions to European funds as well as the portfolio management of existing deals. The Luxembourg team is fully integrated within the EMEA Fund Finance team based in London. Our clients are predominantly made up of listed funds managed by large institutional asset management firms and unlisted private equity, debt, real estate and infrastructure funds managed by leading financial sponsors.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role**:
**_Structuring_**
- Attending client meetings, calls and industry events, and preparing marketing/research materials
- Reviewing and analysing fund documentation, structures, and investment portfolios to consider lending opportunities.
- Identifying fund finance transaction opportunities and conducting general market research

**_
Credit_**
- To understand and operate the ING credit and risk rating systems relevant to FF and understand the pricing models and relevant return hurdles.
- Working with ING Risk to seek approvals for new transactions and amendments to existing ones.
- Reviewing and monitoring receipt of client reporting information, and ultimately being responsible for a sub-set of Quarterly Monitoring sheets.
- To prepare research and presentations for both internal and external use.
- To learn about other products and services ING provide to the fund management industry.
- Ad-hoc tasks relating to internal audits and requests for information/analysis from Management.
- Keeping up to date with ING’s legal policy requirements and general market trends.

**Qualification/Education**

Essential:

- Fluent English and French
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Law
- Extensive transaction execution experience in an international financial institution
- Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Desirable:

- VBA, SQL, HTML, Microsoft Access skills or other database skills.
- Completion of a formal training programme with an international financial institution.
