**The Role**:
This role will typically support one or more complex change projects or programmes in parallel, spanning across the Apex Group’s broad and ambitious strategic change agenda.
- Integration of external M&A acquisitions
- Deployment of / migration to new technology solutions
- Re-organisation / optimisation of Group Operating model
- Development and launch of new products and services
- Automation / E2E process redesign across multiple jurisdictions, making these ‘lean’ for optimization
- Regulatory change
The role holder will also be responsible for developing a Business Analyst capability as a centre of excellence within the Global Integrations and Change Management team with initially one direct report, establishing this as a resource pool that will support a wide range of strategic change projects globally across the Apex Group
**Key duties and responsibilities**
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst, Integrations is to link across business stakeholders, Integration project leads, heads of business operations, solutions designers, internal and external technology partners to develop and document key aspects of the change design and execution plan. This will include:
- Gathering (and leading business prioritisation of) functional and non-functional business requirements, through collaborative stakeholder engagement;
- Translating requirements into viable solution designs that meet key business objectives around scope, cost, quality, time, risks and benefits;
- Documenting, analysing and integrating / optimising of key business processes and controls;
- Preparing end-user communications, product / process documentation and rollout training;
- Motivating, tasking and performance managing one direct report (initially) although my well scale up over time;
- Partnering with business stakeholders, Integration project leads, Operational leads and technology partners to precisely define and agree delivery scope, and key success criteria for change;
- Collaborating closely with all relevant stakeholders to capture, prioritize and sign-off key business requirements (functional and non-functional), establishing effective change control;
- Working closely with technology solution architects, technical BAs and delivery leads to develop detailed solution designs and project delivery plans, ensuring full requirements traceability and alignment with agreed success criteria;
- Leading impact assessment of changes proposed to core requirements or design;
- Preparing and maintain key project / change governance artefacts, working in partnership with the project lead - including project plans, RAIDs logs, change logs, resource plans, test plans, business case and cost tracking, business governance documents (e.g. materiality assessments, outsourcing requests);
- Partnering directly with business SMEs to understand and document current business / operational processes and controls, using analytical tools to propose and evaluate opportunities to standardise / optimize;
- Leading preparation of user acceptance testing phases - working closely with all key business, technology and project stakeholders to prepare test strategy documents, define scenarios, document scripts, prepare test environments and artefacts, plan and execute test scripts, document and drive resolution of any defects;
- Supporting project / programme managers by leading ‘deep dive’ focus into key phases (e.g. requirements gathering, testing, training, client communication, client novation) or by carrying out rapid assessment of key delivery challenges / issues within larger programmes;
- Preparing and delivering materials to support change rollout - including user training, process and governance documentation;
- Advocating change awareness and change readiness amongst impacted business teams and stakeholder groups
**Experience and skills**
The successful applicant will have a proven track record operating as a Business Analyst across a range of different project types and all key phases of the E2E change lifecycle. In addition, experience of developing a centre of excellence and professionalising (structure, approach, templates, best practice) the role of the business analyst is highly desirable.
A collaborative and resourceful team-player with leadership experience, they will be able to quickly understand the business strategy and objectives and will act as a value-adding link between the business stakeholders, Operational leads, Integration project leads and Technology. They will have a demonstrated ability to successfully manage stakeholders, multiple tasks, projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
