Amazon Logistics is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across the planet. Our finance team closely partners to support this rapidly expanding business while building a connected network of delivery stations, vans, box trucks, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time - often next day, sometimes faster. Come make history with us. The AMXL Finance team seeks a Finance Manager to lead the EU FP&A team. This role is strategic in nature (business partnering skills and curiosity are a must), and is not a typical Finance role. The AMXL FP&A leader partners closely with operations and finance teams to influence the strategic direction of the business, drive operational excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions. Key job responsibilities - Support the planning process (long range plan, annual plan, quarterly guidance, and monthly/quarterly business reviews - Provide decision support and strategic guidance for AMXL programs or special projects - Invent new reporting solutions and drive automation/alignment - Maintain controllership of corporate headcount and T&E reporting - Leverage financial knowledge and business acumen to execute ad-hoc projects and analysis, draw conclusions, and present recommendations with little guidance. A day in the life - They will leverage your business acumen to lead initiatives to streamline planning/reporting, decide on investments, and drive efficiency initiatives. - They support through thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment. - They collaborate with leaders at various business units across Amazon. - They bring excellent verbal and written communication skills. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to bring visibility and clarity in the performance of our End to End AMXL network in Europe. You will be the Chief of Staff to the Finance organization guiding them through multiple priorities. About the team Mission: AMXL Finance drivers long term cash flows through optimization of capacity related investments and co-ownership executing the fulfillment and delivery of Heavy and Bulky products across the globe. Vision: Aspire to be the best in class finance organization in Operations finance, leading with the highest standards and ownership of an end-to-end network; empowering team members to develop through trusted partnerships while having fun innovating for customers. - Record of leading and developing more junior team members. - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Tableau, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - MBA and/or Professional certifications (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate) - Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in a business partnering role.
