Our client is a fund management and fund distribution company with offices located in Luxembourg, Paris and London.
Our client offers a huge range of strategies (Alternative & Traditional) with a unique business model.
They are hiring a Junior Operations Officer (F/M) to strengthen their Operations Team located in Luxembourg.
As a Junior Operations Officer, you will be under the supervision of the Conducting Officer and you will be in charge of all the daily activities of the funds under management.
**Your main tasks will be the following**:
**Accounting**:
Control the net asset value of the funds as calculated by the administrator
Participate in the review of fund related fees calculated by the administrator and coordinate their payment (management fees, performance fees, rebates, trailer fees, etc.)
Participate to valuation review process (weekly and quarterly valuation review)
Assist with pricing escalation issues
Interact with fund providers (custodians, administrative agents, etc.)
**Reporting**:
Prepare internal and external reporting on fund Key Performance Indicators
Escalate issues to the Conducting Officers and assist him in finding solutions
Monitoring
Monitor processes delegated to external providers (EMIR, CSDR, KIID & KID, etc.)
**Project**:
Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and controls
Take part in certain new developments and projects as may happen from time to time (including procedures improvements)
**Your profile**:
Technical skills
Degree in relation to finance
Overall knowledge of the investment fund industry and the responsibility of the management company is a plus
Internship into a management company or fund administrator is a plus
Proficiency in Excel is mandatory
Soft skills
Excellent attention to detail
Extremely good organization and process management skills to ensure completion of multiple tasks across multiple deadlines
Ownership on the tasks delegated to her/him
Ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to working in a small firm in a fast-paced team environment
**Effective communication skills**: ability to articulate and present ideas effectively in both oral and written forms
Problem solving mindset
Willingness to self-develop and to learn in a dynamic team
