**Your Role...**:
- Research on Optical communication for:
- Free space optics
- Visible light communication
- Underwater optical communication
- Optical camera communication
- Propagation, scintillation, and performance of beam types through turbulent medium
- Optical beam generation
- Internet-of-Things
- Vehicular communications
- Light propagation in biological tissue
- Opening his own research line in synergy with the current research projects
The position holder will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Researching the predefined areas
- Participating in research proposal drafting and project deliverables
- Collaborate in ongoing ESA, European, and national projects
- Disseminating results through scientific publications and conference presentations
- Assisting in the organization of relevant workshops and demos
**Your Profile...**:
- A solid mathematical background
- Optical beam shaping
- Optical beam propagation in turbulent medium(Atmosphere, underwater, marine, tissue, jet engine, etc)
- Scintillation and bit error rate analysis of beams
- Channel modeling using the random phase screen approach
- Software Development using C++, Python, MATLAB
- Being familiar with the optical lab equipment
- Optical imaging systems(infrared or visible)
- Knowledge of Communications and Networking standards would be a benefit
Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
