State Street 6 months internship programme offers students on-the-job training as well as participation in a structured curriculum focused on building technical and professional development skills.

Below are the primary business areas in which we offer work placement positions:

- **Fund Accounting**
**The fund accountantis responsible for performing a range of accounting responsibilities in order to maintain and report on a series of fund accounts as required by regulations and our service level agreements with our clients. In this role you will assist with reviewing and resolving reconciliations of security portfolio accounts calculating net asset values for various entities and their respective investors and valuing security portfolios. Other responsibilities include preparing financial statements for various funds; working with a range of products including equities bonds swaps options FX and futures; and posting account entries into the ledger.
- **Custody**
**Custody provides cash management cash reconciliation cash distribution services in addition to monitoring the trading of funds. The role involves the accurate completion of various reconciliations monitoring and ensuring outstanding items are documented and that rigorous follow up takes place to ensure timely resolution. In addition you may be required to assist with other routine tasks within the Department including but not limited to trade processing and answering queries.
- **Financial Reporting**
**As part of the Financial Reporting team you will work with a team of experienced professionals where full training on all aspects of financial reporting will be provided with exposure to a wide variety of investment vehicles and instruments. As part of their on-going development the person will learn about the functions and responsibilities of different departments within the company.
- **Fund Compliance**
**Assist with review of fund documentation and completing of review programmes in order to ensure appropriate monitoring of funds. Also assist in the review of funds to ensure compliance with regulatory investment restriction and borrowing power limits.
- **Transfer Agency**
**Transfer Agents are responsible for the timely and accurate authentication routing and processing of security transactions for State Street’s global multi-managed institutional investors. The trade processor is responsible for processing a broad range of complex security transaction types across various clients and global markets. The role requires interaction with internal accounting client service and support teams.

You will join other interns in a structured learning and development programme that comprises on-the job and technical skills training personal development and soft skills training. Interns who perform and exceed expectations will be considered for full time graduate positions. We are seeking to recruit bright final year students with energy and commitment to join our Luxembourg office.

**Profile**
**Finance related educational degree - Finance Business Administration Accountancy Economics International Business Private Equity and Investment Management.(Sample of disciplines)

Competent in the English language
- French and/or German is a plus
