**Senior Business Analyst at European Institution**:
**Job description**

Trasys International offers IT Consulting jobs at the European Institutions and International Organizations.

For our customer based in Luxembourg, the European Commission, we are looking for Business Analyst.

**The main objectives of the project are to**:

- Increase the quality of the processes implemented in the different information systems by ensuring that business requirements are well understood, well situated in the broader context of the overall business workflow and correctly translated into functional specifications.
- Increase the overall reliability of the systems by analyzing the impact of a requested change on the entire production chain.
- Create synergies between the information systems by proposing a common, standard approach to user requirements gathering.
- Provide additional support to the IT project managers in preparing the PM2 artefacts (such as Project Charters, Analysis and Design documents etc.) and thus help on-going projects to move forward in a timely and effective manner.
- A consistent and effective standard approach to business requirements gathering and analysis and drafting functional specifications applied across information systems, which will help decrease the time needed for this initial phase of all projects.
- Increase in the quality of the programs and tools implemented as a direct
- consequence of clear and correct functional specifications.
- Better communication with the end-users through a profile that can adapt and understand both the business and the IT worlds.
- An overall improvement of the quality of the information systems

**All deliverables from each task should be produced in a compliant electronic format**:

- MS Word (.doc,.docx) and Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf) for deliverables and other support documentation.
- MS Excel (.xls,.xlsx) for tables, integrity rules, code lists, among others.
- MS Powerpoint (.ppt,.pptx) for presentations.
- Plain text (.dat), Comma Separated Values (.csv), or others for data files.
- For scripts:.dat,.txt,.sql,.awk and other file formats defined at project time.

**Requirements**:
**The required skills/expertise is**
- Minimum of 11 years of experience in IT in general
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis in IT-related projects
- Minimum of 1 year of knowledge in business process modelling techniques and Certification in BPMN
- Minimum of C1 level in English

**Above the generic knowledge and skills linked to the profile, knowledge and expertise in the following domains are important**:

- Experience with software modelling techniques (ex.: UML)
- Experience with modelling tools (ex.: ARIS, Power Designer, Visio)
- Experience organizing and conducting meeting.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work in an environment where the compliance with formal procedures is an asset
- Knowledge of French can be an advantage since meetings and communications are carried on in English and French.
