Overview_
Neuberger Berman is looking for a Fund Controller to take responsibility for the fund accounting and operations of a number of Italian and Luxembourg funds, reporting to the Head of Finance Luxembourg.
- Responsibilities:_
- Governance & Control_
- Oversight of third party vendors (fund administration/depositary/etc)
- Ownership of cash and capital management
- Ensure all regulatory and statutory financial submissions are completed appropriately and on time
- Establish and enhance the processes and procedures, working with the wider finance teams.
- Operational Accounting_
- Responsibility for managing the fund operational processes (capital call/distribution/etc) with outsourced providers
- Ensure fund financial information is communicated appropriately to the outsourced providers, quarterly valuations, recoverable from funds, etc.
- Review of key balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of interim and annual financial statements
- Production of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting
- Requirements:_
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Qualified accountant, fund accounting experience (preferable 3+ years post qualifications)
- Confident, with the ability to deal with multiple internal clients
- Highly organized, adherence to internal deadlines and appropriate escalation any issues
- Self-starter, able to work independently whilst ensuring engagement with the wider finance team
- Advanced Excel skills
