The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is an interdisciplinary research centre of the University of Luxembourg.
We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine - in the lab, in the clinic and in silico. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease and their contributing factors. **Your role**:
As part of the LCSB Operations, the Innovation and Partnering team is dedicated to support and enhance innovative research and development at LCSB and to make the resulting technologies available for external national and international collaboration or valorization in order to increase the socio-economic impact of LCSB’s research and to acquire additional funding sources for innovative research projects.

You will work within the LCSB Innovation and Partnering team and report to the team leader whilst liaising with the central Technology Transfer Office at the University of Luxembourg (PaKTTO).
- Your responsibilities:_
- Liaison with the LCSB research groups and identification of IP and research with partnering and commercialization potential
- Support process of novel IP protection
- Market analysis to evaluate commercial potential and market needs regarding LCSB IP and research results
- Identification of potential joint activities and projects with internal and external partners
- Identification of and liaison with potential clients and industrial collaboration partners
- Monitoring of specific markets and industry areas with potential interest in LCSB technologies
- Managing the LCSB portfolio of technology offerings and marketing documentation
- Advising of LCSB inventors regarding marketability and further market-oriented development of technologies and for building strategic IP portfolios
- Informing and advising the team leader, internal, and external parties on valorization and partnering opportunities
- Support the sustaining of compliance with UL internal processes for the identification, protection and valorization of IP
- Evaluation and shaping of public innovation funding programs proposals and business plans
- Internal and external dissemination of the results of partnering and valorization activities with the aim to strengthen the awareness and understanding of innovation projects and technology transfer strategy within and outside of the LCSB
- Education of researchers about Innovation, IP protection, industry collaboration, funding opportunities, and valorization

**Your profile**:

- Education/Experience:_
- University degree in technology or life sciences; a focus on biohealth is preferred. A PhD in these fields is considered an asset
- Minimum of three years’ professional experience in one or more of the following: Technology transfer, Research management, Consulting, Business strategy
- Previous working experience from public research sector would be asset
- Familiarity with science communication and marketing
- Solid understanding of both business and public stakeholder needs
- Competencies and skills:_
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multicultural environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Diplomatic approach to negotiation and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to quickly grasp new scientific topics and projects, combined with continuous professional development
- Knowledge of governance regulations, and constraints in both the public research and private sectors
- Fluency in English, and proficiency in either German or French; Luxembourgish is an asset
