Events and Marketing Officer

Our Marketing department in Luxembourg is currently looking for an **Events and Marketing Officer** for one year fixed-term contract** (Maternity leave).**

**Department purpose**
Our Luxembourg Business Development, Marketing and Communications (BD & MarCom) team contributes to the setting and achievement of the Luxembourg office’s overall strategy and business objectives, supporting lawyers in developing their business. This includes building and maintaining client relationships, winning new clients, focusing on key client sector groups, increasing the visibility of the firm on the Luxembourg market and across borders, and positioning the firm as the leading and most advanced law firm on the market. Thanks to the international nature of the work of our Luxembourg office, our team collaborates on a daily basis with the members of A&O’ Shearman's international network of business development and marketing professionals, providing support across offices, practice groups, sectors and clients.

**Role purpose**

Main responsibilities will include:
**Client events** & conferences**: assisting with the organisation of client events, seminars and conferences (including in person, virtual and hybrid events)
**Third party events**: coordinating and co-organising third party events (with local industry associations and clients);
**Events
- related tasks**:

- assisting in and organising all type of events from A to Z
- maintaining and managing a list of third party service providers for events and reviewing them on a regular basis;
- assisting other teams in organising events);
- developing (new) ideas for events and researching for innovative concepts and venues;
- looking for sustainable and innovative advertising items for clients events & speaker gifts;
- assisting with marketing and BD databases;

**Podcasts & A&OS Studio**: assisting the team in producing video and podcasts.

**Marketing and digital marketing**:

- assisting in managing the A&O Shearman Luxembourg community on social media;
- assisting in the creation and management of client communications/e alerts/deal alerts/blog posts;
- updating the corporate website, brochures and other communications;
- providing support for internal newsletters;
- assisting with any other ad-hoc marketing and communications support.

**Ad hoc projects**: assisting on local or firm-wide projects and initiatives.
