**Responsibilities**:

- ** Expertise and Design Contribution**

o Contribute directly as an individual contributor when necessary (visuals, UI, marketing materials).

o Maintain and create design component libraries.

o Collaborate with Engineering to integrate design systems.
- **
Team Output and Quality**

o Review team deliverables and provide actionable feedback.

o Ensure design work meets business goals and quality standards.

o Oversee adherence to design rules and design thinking processes.
- **
Team Management and Mentorship**

o Prioritize tasks and manage team schedules.

o Ensure tickets are documented and assets are prepared.

o Act as the main point of contact between the team and stakeholders.

o Negotiate deadlines and scopes of work with stakeholders.

o Mentor team members to improve both technical and soft skills.

o Conduct weekly 1:1s and quarterly performance reviews.

o Assign projects to support career growth.

Team Health and Culture**

o Foster a productive, collaborative, and inclusive environment.

o Encourage cross-functional collaboration with PMs, POs, BAs, Engineers, QAs, etc.

o Represent and advocate for Design Department values and standards across the organization.

o Run team meetings to ensure information flow and team alignment.
- **
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management**

o Translate requests into actionable design requirements.

o Collaborate with other leads on cross-functional projects.

o Work with stakeholders to align on business priorities and improve team processes.

o Ensure designs are properly implemented with engineers.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years as an individual contributor in design roles.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and influence team members.
- Experience negotiating with Product and Engineering stakeholders.
- Expertise in UI design tools: Sketch, Figma, InVision, Adobe XD.
- Advanced proficiency in Photoshop; working knowledge of Illustrator and After Effects.
- Strong knowledge of responsive web and mobile design.
- Familiarity with design systems like Google’s Material Design and Apple’s HIG.
- Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with AI tools for creative tasks (e.g., ChatGPT, DALL-E, Midjourney, Freepik).
- Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
- Knowledge of 3D design tools, WordPress, and Bootstrap.
