**Job Description**:
This is an in-house role in a prestigious international financial services business based in the heart of Luxembourg. They seek an Accountant to join their Finance Department. The Lux office is mid-sized (about 100 people) with an international, friendly and supportive culture.

You will gain exposure to a broad role including the A-Z of accounting for the Lux entity, including various accounting and reporting responsibilities. You will help the team evolve their internal controls and processes and gain the opportunity to a) learn and b) put your current experience to good use. You will work closely with the Chinese speaking Big 4 auditors to support the year end audit for the Chinese accounts.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

- Completion of all accounts reconciliation duties (IFRS and Lux GAAP)
- Ensure accounting records are up to date
- Review invoicing and expenses
- Prepare and deliver all statutory filings in IFRS
- Assist with and process year-end accounting procedures
- Prepare short form reports and long form reports
- Support regulatory reporting and financial reporting
- Improve the internal control accounting framework
- Provide input into ongoing procedural enhancements

To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:

- Business or finance related Degree, ideally with professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA )
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Accountant in financial services or audit in Luxembourg
- Extensive experience of statutory reporting under Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS
- Fluency in English and Chinese essential
- Be able to work autonomously whilst being an important part of a small team
- Good knowledge with Microsoft Office
