5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience in the data/BI space
Based from our Luxembourg office, we are looking for a pro-active, experienced, passionate and customer-obsessed Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (Sr. BIE) to join our EU Retail Finance team.
As a Sr. BIE, you will drive efficiency in data handling processes and lead advanced analysis and process automation. You will have the exciting opportunity to work on some of Amazon’s most ambitious and complex efforts. You will work closely with the business, operations, and technical teams on many non-standard and unique business problems and support business decisions by collecting required and related data from external/internal sources.
**Responsibilities**:
- Gather customer requests and recommend technical solutions while inovating on behalf of our customers
- Lead high impact BI projects such as, performing deep-dives to derive actionable insights or creating models to predict outcomes and optimize business processes
- Building the data structure, transformation processes and load jobs in Redshift
- Automating tasks, debugging report issues and unblocking workflows.
- Documenting tools and processes.
- Keep up to date on latest BI technologies and AWS products to ensure we deliver the best CX.

- ETL tools (internal)
- Advanced Excel
- Quicksight/Tableau
- Report scheduling tools (internal)
- Scripting for automation (preferred) (VBA or Pyhon)
