Financial Analyst, Eu Consumables Retail Finance

Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- This role can be based in Munich, Paris, Madrid, Milan or London.
Are you looking to be a finance leader within one of Amazon’s fastest growing and dynamic product families? Look no further. We have an opening for a Financial Analyst who will be driving programs within our EU Consumables business. In this role, you will partner with business leaders to understand performance and drive initiatives to reach our goals. You will be involved and drive strategic business decisions via financial analysis and co-own the business with the category leaders. You will own the financial reporting and planning of that business and have also responsibilities/own projects with EU-wide scope.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive the financial success of one of our businesses or programs. You have the freedom and opportunity to consult, challenge and influence business decisions and drive our long-term free cash flow.
- Partner with program group leadership on new projects and business ideas that allow our business to continue to grow quickly and deliver world class customer experience;
- Own all financial processes, reporting, and analysis for your programs, plus work with senior leaders of the business to build and understand key performance metrics;
- Play a leadership role in improving EU-wide processes for our business;
- Drive analysis and develop reports which help us better understand business performance; and
- Take on ad hoc projects and roles beyond your day to day role
Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
