**Senior Legal Counsel - Funds (M/F/d)**
**This role can be based in Berlin or Luxembourg**

As the leading global platform for private equity investing, Moonfare is experiencing incredible success and rapid growth. Within this growth, Moonfare's Legal Team is one of the key teams to support the company among fund structuring, regulatory expertise, impacting and supporting different sides of the business.

Joining our Legal Team means you will join a cross-border, collaborative and expert team, contributing to the launch of investment products in the Moonfare platform by elaborating fund documents, liaising and overseeing service providers related to our feeder funds, negotiating side letters and distribution agreements with sponsors and analysing fund due diligence from external counsel.

**You will**:

- Work on key fund related topics such as:

- Fund Due-diligence
- Negotiations with fund sponsors of key documents such as side letters, LPAs & distribution agreements
- MFN elections
- Fund structuring & fund documentation
- Coordinate and oversee service providers in relation to launching our Moonfare feeder funds
- Report directly to our Head of Legal Funds and will work closely with our leadership team, Investments team, Partnerships team, Sales team and Fund Operations team
- Assist with expanding our internal legal core competencies and manage external counsel on specific topics as necessary.
- You are passionate about building businesses and have demonstrated attention to detail and a keen interest in regulatory compliance, investing and financial markets. You bring a positive energy and a can-do mentality to the team.

**The next Moonfarian**:

- Experience as a member of an in-house legal team or with a top-tier law firm
- Background in fund law (experience in financial regulations and financial markets law favourable)
- Experience in reviewing fund due diligence materials, MFN elections and negotiating side letters as well as distribution agreements
- Experience in financial regulations and financial markets law (e.g. MiFID) is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Communication skills in German and/or French are favorable
- Highly motivated with a commitment to excellence
- Excellent project and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strongly collaborative
- Hands-on attitude and positive mindset
