Senior Accountant

Our client, headquartered near the French border, is an international company that operates in 47 countries. We seek a Senior Accountant to work closely with the Head of Accounting and promote financial excellence.
**Primary duties and responsibilities**:
**Day-to-day Accounting**: Manage the accounting processes for the International Headquarters, ensure meticulous record maintenance, and prepare year-end financial statements following Lux GAAP standards.
**Financial Reporting**: Prepare and review interim accounts as required and assist with monthly Group reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
**VAT**: To maintain our commitment to financial integrity, handle VAT declarations, ensure adherence to current regulations, and support external audits.
**Cash Management**: Manage cash flow and assist in forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
**Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities to optimize financial processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
**Qualifications**:
Ideally, 4 - 5 years of experience in accounting, mainly in Luxembourg.
Experience in Luxembourg is required.
Experience in BIG 4 International Companies is a plus.
Knowledge of TAX rules.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Proficiency using SAGE BOB50 is an asset.
Strong communication skills in German (at least B2) and English are required.
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with clients and colleagues, building strong working relationships.
