Project Manager

Context:
ArcelorMittal is engaged in a very ambitious and challenging Decarbonisation target to reach net zero in 2050. Intermediate objectives have been set in 2030, -25% at group level and -35% at Europe level and will be reached thru an unprecedented steelmaking transition.

This upheaval requires a brand new approach to the overall supply chain that will be completely transformed, especially for renewable energy, green hydrogen, green DRI, CCS (carbon capture and storage) and scrap.

The spearhead of this transformation is the newly created Decarbonisation Partnerships & JVs.

In coordination with Operations, Government Affairs, Procurement, M&A, the objective is to both fulfil ArcelorMittal decarbonisation targets and initiate vertical integration.

Within Europe-Flat organisation, with a Group mandate, Decarbonisation Partnerships & JVs has the mission to create, implement and develop JVs
- In each of 5 businesses: Renewable Energy, Green Hydrogen, Green DRI, CCS & Scrap
- To foster innovative solutions and cross-fertilize
- Manage & Develop JVs from their initial business scope

To fulfil its 1 Mton ambition for Green Hydrogen, ArcelorMittal is looking for a Green Hydrogen Project Manager

**Project Manager **accountability consists in:

- Technical lead during feasibility phase, conceptual study phase and FEED phase for medium-large scale green hydrogen projects being developed (technical planning, suppliers identification, RFQ process, evaluation criteria and OEM selection,...) to reach an optimized asset based on project’s needs.
- Bring techno-economic expertise together with access to technology & know-how, with the objective to minimize the LCOH through cost minimization across concept, engineering, project delivery (capex) and operations (opex).
- Define cost base, contingency and risk provision for the technical solution.
- Aligning projects with business objectives, constructing work plans, managing teams, achieving milestones, and communicating the results to stakeholders.
- Coordinate content in Steering Committees together with Business Developers and local teams with technical expertise.
- Run proper governance with internal stakeholders to drive and ensure coordination (Local technical teams, Procurement, Finance, M&A, Operations, JV Partners, etc.)
- Ensuring that JVs compliance fulfils all AM requirements

Geographical scope of mission:
The position is based in Luxembourg and reports to the Green Hydrogen Business head **. **Travels at European level required as per business needs.

Non European travels more occasional

**Profile**:

- Education: Engineer master’s degree
- Minimum professional experience of 8-15 years in engineering, commissioning, construction and project management, preferably in a global industrial company and with a successful business development experience, having worked closely with EPCs or EPCMs or PMCs
- Good communication (discussion, presentation, meetings preparation)
- Ability to navigate through a multi-cultural, international environment, developing solid relationships with different stakeholders
