ING Luxembourg is looking for an intern for its Market Risk Management department.
This is an internship with an educational institution for a minimum period of 6 months.
Within the Risk department, the MRM “Market Risk Management” department supports the commercial lines in achieving their objectives in an environment where market risks are under control and in line with current regulations.
To this end, MRM is in charge of analyzing and monitoring market risks, i.e. the risk of loss resulting from unfavorable movements in market parameters such as interest rates, exchange rates, bond prices and so on.
Its mission is therefore to identify, measure, control risks and propose hedging strategies in order to manage them.
Job description:
As an intern, you will support the Treasury Controller in his daily tasks:
- Improvement and automation of recurring processes, in particular procedures in Cobol and VBA;
- Calculation and analysis of bank treasury results;
- Analysis of risk transfers in bankings books (Risk Transfer);
- Control and correction of pricing mechanisms and curves;
- Data reconciliations between Front Office, Risk and Finance systems.
Your profile:
Education:
3/5 IT degree with a strong interest in finance.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze and summarize;
- Keen interest in understanding the business model of a universal bank;
- Rigor and precision in work;
- Optimism and tenacity;
- Good knowledge of Excel and VBA
- Mastery of programming languages or a deep willingness to learn and immerse oneself in them (COBOL).
Languages:
Fluency in French.
English read and written.
