**Job Title**: Cybersecurity Analyst

**Location**:Luxembourg (Freelance Position)

**Duration**:6-month contract with the possibility of extension

**Project**:
Using Cloud Services comes with both new opportunities and risks, which need to be examined and handled like other cybersecurity risks. We want to improve our ability to analyse cybersecurity risks and check if these cloud-based solutions comply with cybersecurity policies, ensuring they meet functional needs.

**Role Overview**:
As a Cybersecurity Analyst within the Cybersecurity Policies, Standards, and Guidelines Unit, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our capabilities to analyze and manage cybersecurity risks associated with the adoption of Cloud Services. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, from performing risk assessments to defining security solutions for the European Parliament’s diverse ICT architecture.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct and document risk assessments for projects and services utilising SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS Cloud services, often in a hybrid context.
- Propose effective security solutions and controls to mitigate risks related to the adoption of Cloud services.
- Develop cybersecurity best practices, guidelines, standards, and procedures specific to the security aspects of Cloud services.
- Stay abreast of cloud providers’ security advisories, analyse the impact of security threats, and ensure the security of cloud environments.
- Contribute to defining the monitoring of the security of Cloud services in use.
- Produce technical reports and documentation associated with these activities.
- Collaborate with domain experts to analyse global technological trends and specific Cloud projects.
- Work autonomously while staying synchronised with other staff.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Cybersecurity certification (CISSP / CISM / CSSP/ etc)
- Professional experience in cybersecurity.
- Expertise in Cloud Services security, including defining and validating security solutions based on SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services used in a hybrid context.
- Proven ability to perform risk analysis of cloud solutions.
- Strong documentation skills with the ability to write and articulate best practices, guidelines, standards, and procedures related to cloud-based solutions.
- Familiarity with monitoring and analyzing security threats for Cloud services.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other experts in the domain and work with a high degree of autonomy.
