**Description of the tasks**:
- 2nd Level Support and Maintenance: Providing advanced support and maintaining systems.
- Installation and Configuration: Setting up system components and server software, including patch management.
- Operations and Monitoring: Overseeing infrastructure, systems, and servers.
- Configuration Management: Executing configuration tasks and procedures.
- Incident and Problem Management: Handling incidents, changes, requests, and problem resolution.
- Preliminary Diagnosis: Identifying software and hardware issues in coordination with central IT departments.
- Advisory Services: Providing guidance on capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity, task automation, and security.
- Coordination:
- With hosting services.
- With database management teams.
- Scripting and Configurations: Developing scripts and configurations for systems and infrastructure.
- Backup and Restore Operations: Managing backups and restoration of systems and infrastructure.
- Documentation: Contributing to the documentation of system configurations and operational procedures.
- Architectural Design and Review: Participating in design and review processes.
- Knowledge Base Development: Creating technical content for use by upstream support teams.
- Security Standards Implementation: Evaluating and implementing security standards.
- Security Administration and Monitoring: Ensuring adherence to security rules under the supervision of the SSO and LISO.
- Meeting Participation: Engaging in coordination and project meetings.
- Technical Documentation: Writing technical documents and procedures.
**2. Level of education.**
As stated in the Article 2.6.3.1. of DIGIT-TM II Service requirements, a minimum educational qualification for lot 2 is: Level of education corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a bachelor degree of 3 years.

- ITIL Processes: Proficiency in ITIL or similar processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

- User Interface Ergonomics: Good understanding of ergonomics for user interfaces.
- Presentation Skills: Capability to deliver business and technical presentations.
- High-Quality Standards: Commitment to maintaining high standards in all tasks.
- Technical Documentation: Ability to write clear and structured technical documents.
- Meeting Participation: Effective participation in technical meetings.
- Integration Capability: Ability to integrate into an international/multicultural environment.
- Multilingual Communication: Participation in multilingual meetings.
- Teamwork: Excellent team player with experience in large projects.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English (B2 level) and French (C1 level is an advantage).
- Discretion and Integrity: High level of discretion and integrity, especially in handling personal and confidential data.
**4. Specific expertise.**
- Unix/Linux Operating Systems: Excellent knowledge of Unix/Linux systems in use at the Commission.
- Windows Operating Systems: Knowledge of Windows systems used at the Commission.
- Backup and Storage Technologies: Proficiency in relevant technologies.
- Network Administration: Knowledge in network management.
- Oracle Environment: Familiarity with Oracle systems.
**5. Certifications & standards.**
- Certification in ITIL standards is highly recommended.
