Posted by - Leah Cridlan- Recruitment Consultant As a System Administrator, you will collaborate closely with the team to manage and optimize the organization’s Microsoft-based platforms. This role is integral to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our infrastructure. You will handle day-to-day administration, manage infrastructure projects, and address incidents and requests related to Microsoft systems. Additionally, you'll focus on system performance tuning, hardware/software upgrades, and aligning infrastructure procedures with the company's business strategy. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Infrastructure Administration**: Oversee daily operations and administration of the Microsoft infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and stability. - **Project Collaboration**: Contribute to infrastructure projects, ensuring that system implementations and upgrades meet the business's requirements. - **Incident & Request Management**: Respond to incoming requests and incidents related to Microsoft systems, preparing for necessary changes and improvements. - **System Optimization**: Perform regular performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, and resource optimization, including system patching and upgrades. - **Business Alignment**: Ensure system hardware, operating systems, and software align with business strategies and needs. - **System Integrity**: Conduct daily system checks to validate the integrity, availability, and performance of hardware and resources. - **Disaster Recovery**:Review and update the disaster recovery plan and procedures to ensure alignment with new system implementations and infrastructure changes. - **Continuous Improvement**: Stay up-to-date with Microsoft platform developments and propose new initiatives and enhancements to improve system performance. - **Security Monitoring**: Perform regular security audits and monitoring to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats. - **Service Improvements**: Collaborate with the team to identify and implement opportunities for enhancing service delivery. **Your Profile**: **Experience**:Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration or security administration, with a focus on Microsoft platforms. **Technical Expertise**: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with: - Microsoft Active Directory (MS AD) - Microsoft Exchange - Windows Server and related platforms - WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) - SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) - IronPort - Microsoft EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) - Patch Management - MS PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) - Automation tools (e.g., Ansible) - Monitoring systems (e.g., Opsview) **Team Collaboration**: Willingness to work closely with the infrastructure team and "roll up your sleeves" when necessary. **Proactive Mindset**: Self-motivated with a positive attitude, always seeking to improve systems and processes. **Language Skills**: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. - ABOUT COMPANY - Skillfinder International - London, United Kingdom 32 Employees HR & Recruitment Skillfinder International is a navigator and guide that helps people and businesses find each other in their journeys to success.
