Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Relevant experience in a finance role including partnering with a variety of stakeholders across the business
- Relevant experience working with Excel and large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as Cognos, Essbase, SQL or Tableau
- Relevant experience in financial modelling

Role summary
Amazon seeks a Financial Manager to act as WW Amazon Pay Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role. This position will work closely with various senior stakeholders including Business Directors and partners, Accounting, Finance, and Financial system teams to solve complex problems that directly impact Amazon’s financial reporting. As a Finance Manager, you’ll help us optimize our finances so that we can enhance our customer experience even more and navigate the fast-changing business environment we are currently implementing. This role is an opportunity to act as the key finance leader for a strategic program and get really involved with shaping our future business.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead large-scale change management initiatives and provide strategic direction on how to optimize the way finance organizations function across Amazon.
- Build financial models to drive business decisions and make judgement calls on challenges using your understanding of Amazon’s and Amazon Pay cost structure
- Generate insights from financial data, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and communicate findings with the leadership team to drive business actions
- Partner with Business Finance teams to allocate operating expenses to appropriate businesses monthly and for planning cycles.
- Partner with Accounting and Business Intelligence teams to define requirements for and prioritize projects to improve reporting accuracy and automation.
- Own the full financial P&L and operational plan and financial reporting, create scalable processes and monitor teams for accuracy
- Supporting operations partners in areas that include, but are not limited to, planning, productivity goals, defect tracking, metrics and performance measurement, and operations cost reduction projects.
- Onboard, and develop team members in areas of financial reporting for accuracy, create best practice materials and promote knowledge sharing
- Ad hoc financial analysis and data support for business team.

Amazon Pay Finance team, which is WW structured with support in all three geos (EU/US/JP), supports Amazon Pay business which is Amazon's externally-facing payment solution for merchants, facilitating payment transactions between Amazon customers and (external) merchants in the US, EU, and Japan. Buyers find Amazon Pay as an option when paying on a merchant’s site, store, app, or with an Alexa skill, and will pay using the information in their Amazon accounts. Amazon Pay Finance sits within Consumer Payments (CP) which is responsible for building, maintaining and ensuring the security of the Payments platform used across all of Amazon’s Consumer organization (excluding India) and enabling it to be used more broadly across other parts of Amazon.
