Experienced Life Actuary

**About the role**:
**We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated experienced actuary to join our LUX actuarial team. The role will provide valuable actuarial experience into life insurance and reinsurance business. You will support the day to day tasks of the actuarial team in relation to Solvency II valuations, including the financial reporting process, assumption setting and participating in various actuarial projects both at local or group level. The experienced actuary will also participate in the continuous due diligence, acquisition, and integration processes of target portfolios. The actuary will report directly to the Head of Actuarial.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the actuarial team in the production of the quarterly and annual Solvency II reserves.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory disclosures and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly group reporting.
- Assist with the production of the annual experience investigations (biometric experience, expense reserves ), and the recommendations of actuarial assumptions.
- Assist with business planning and stress testing processes.
- Assist with the annual expense reserve process.
- Assist in the preparation of the actuarial function report, and SFCR / RSR.
- Support the risk team with the ORSA process and quantitative analyses.
- Help to maintain robust, stable and auditable processes for calculating the required reserves and capital figures.
- Assist with ensuring actuarial controls are monitored and maintained via the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process.
- Provide actuarial support to other teams, particularly Finance, Investments and Risk.
**Role Requirements**:
- Master degree in actuarial science
- Qualified actuary
- Working experience with Prophet
- Experience of 5 to 7 years within an insurance / Reinsurance company or consulting
- Solvency II experience is mandatory
- Fluent in English, French is an asset
- Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Dynamic team player able to collaborate and share with other colleagues
- Curious with an appetite to learn
- Energetic and passionate with a positive attitude and solution oriented
- Willing to accept a variety of challenging technical and non-technical matters
- Be both flexible and adaptable to a changing environment, while having the ability to prioritise work efficiently and effectively
