- We are part of Group Compliance for the Private Wealth Management & Family Office Division; an internal control function with approximately 200 employees in SEB. Group Compliance is independent from the business organisation and operates as the second line of defence. We advise, control, and follow up on a wide range of compliance issues for private wealth management and depositary banking.- In order to strengthen the Compliance team in Luxembourg, we are looking to recruit an
- **experienced Compliance Officer**.- You will be reporting to the local Head of Compliance, and your main responsibilities will include the following:
- Taking part in assessing the compliance risks for the business in Luxembourg and developing the Compliance Plan
- Supporting and advising different parts of the organisation, from staff to members of management, as well as close collaboration with other colleagues within Group Compliance
- Advising Business on matters related to outsourcing of activities and the applicable requirements
- Attending Customer Adoption Committee (i.e. account opening and customer review committee) as Compliance representative
- Performing a variety of compliance monitoring reviews, on AML/KYC, MiFID, Complaint handling, etc.
- Being actively involved in the oversight of AML/CFT work done by Group functions
- Supporting the Regulatory watch process and performing regular analysis of new regulations together with relevant/impacted colleagues, advising business on the impact and consequences of such changes
- Supporting the compilation of Compliance reports for Senior Branch Management meetings
- Develop a robust compliance culture, providing support, education, and training to staff to build compliance risk awareness within the Company
- Being involved and supporting specific Compliance projects.
- This position gives you the opportunity to grow into broader responsibilities in the oversight of regulatory compliance of several business lines and the Compliance risk-management-cycle.**What we are looking for**
- 5-7 years of working experience in a Compliance role, ideally within the banking sector or Big4
- A law degree from a university or a business school
- An ACAMS or ICA or AML/Compliance certification would be an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of local regulations and laws applicable in the banking/finance sector (incl. MiFID)
- Good analytical skills and ability to articulate issues, formulate and present recommendations
- Effective, action-oriented mindset, taking initiatives
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- A proactive, structured and delivery focused mind-set
- A high level of integrity and excellent judgment, enjoying working in a changing regulatory landscape
- Eager to continuously find new ways to create value for your stakeholders and improve them
- Good communication and report writing skills
- Sound knowledge of MS Office
- Fluency in English both in written and spoken is required. Knowledge of French or Scandinavian language(s) is considered an advantage.
