Finance in Motion is looking for an established professional to take over a senior role focusing on asset valuation**:Key responsibilities**:

- Perform regular valuations for debt and equity investments
- Develop and validate valuation models for illiquid assets, provide rationale to external and internal auditors and regulators
- Review and validate third-party asset and collateral valuations, their valuation models and methodologies, maintain and develop relationships with those parties
- Perform quarterly impairment calculations for debt portfolio held at amortized cost in accordance with IFRS 9 based on the existing impairment methodology and internal rating model, in cooperation with the Risk Controlling team
- Case-by-case analysis of recovery scenarios for credit impaired portfolio (stage 3) in cooperation with Intensive Care team
- Interact with investment management, credit risk management, risk controlling external and internal auditors, valuation companies and other service providers on topics related to asset valuation
- Develop and maintain asset valuation policies and procedures in line with industry best practice
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff and other colleagues to develop their knowledge and skillset around valuations

**What we expect**:

- Significant professional experience in valuation of illiquid debt and/or private equity, ideally as a part of Big Four, bank or an asset manager.
- Familiarity with key valuation techniques and standards, relevant certification is of strong advantage
- Proficient in financial / asset price modelling
- Fully proficient in written and verbal English. Knowledge of Spanish, French or German is considered as an additional advantage
- Pro-active, creative, self-motivating attitude
- Ability to interact at different corporate levels and with external parties and stakeholders with confidence and clarity
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and oversee projects
- Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion´s vision/mission
- Willing to be based in Frankfurt or Luxemburg
