**(Senior) Accountant - IA Debt Accounting**

Our Mileway Investment Accounting team, organised by regional teams following jurisdictions where logistics assets are held, is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations and compliance of a large portfolio of real estate entities and investments (property and holding companies) throughout Europe.

Working closely with the Senior Manager Debt Accounting you will be part of the Mileway Investment Accounting - Debt Accounting team,
**responsible for handling and centralising accounting and finance activities that are driven by the debt financing structure. **You will work closely with Treasury team helping to ensure successful completion of transactions as well as accurate translation of the transactions into the financials.

These hands-on roles are working very closely with the Investment Accounting team members responsible for the jurisdictions in which Mileway operates.

**Responsibilities**:

- Drive and jointly own projects incorporating the financing/refinancing steps with Mileway

Investment Accounting / Tax / Debt reporting / Legal & Compliance teams and Blackstone;
- Ensure accurate compliance of refinancing, tax and other processes across multiple jurisdictions;
- Work closely with advisors (big four and lawyers) to address queries raised and ensure timely delivery of financial due diligence reports;
- Coordinate refinancing process with relevant stakeholders, e.g. Mileway Investment Accounting / Tax / Debt reporting / Legal & Compliance teams and Blackstone teams;
- Coordinate timely and efficiently the different steps of the distribution process by working closely with Investment Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Legal departments;
- Coordinate the annual bank reporting process for covenants compliance towards lenders;
- Ensure accurate recording of all debt (including derivatives recording and deferred financing fees amortization) related IFRS and Group GAAP adjustments in FIS and Yardi;
- Prepare and coordinate central accounting journals including acquisition entries based on fund flows;
- Participate in the elaboration of (tableau) reconciliation reports to validate debt positions;
- Liaise with Group Controlling team to ensure accurate reporting of all debt related items;
- Coordinating and reviewing work performed by junior members / outsourced resources;
- Coaching and developing junior members / outsourced resources;
- Take on ad-hoc projects upon request.

**Profile**
- University degree in Accounting/Finance (ACCA is an asset);
- Minimum 6 years relevant work experience - 4 years for Accountant level;
- Excellent oral and written communication English skills;
- Knowledge of Luxembourg tax and cross border transactions would be an asset;
- Real estate or SOPARFI as well as financial analysis experience desirable;
- Good knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS experience considered as an asset;
- Sound understanding of lending instruments mechanics including related derivatives financial instruments;
- Thorough understanding of tax mechanics / logic, e.g. ability to read and translate into financials the mechanics presented in a tax due diligence report for example;
- Ability to see the big picture and maintain the overview (e.g. back-to-back financings) while processing at a detailed level;
- Ability to handle volume in terms of data;
- Ability to coordinate and work collaboratively with other teams/departments;
- Solid business acumen in order to understand, prioritize, and act on requests received;
- Dynamic personality with a “can do and hands on” attitude;
- Solution oriented approach/ problem-solving ability;
- Good sense of organization.
