**The opportunity**
Currently we're looking for Team Lead General Accounting to join our team in Luxembourg. On this position you will:

- Lead General Accounting Team
- Coordination monthly consolidation and closing process Lux
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting according to US GAAP, local GAAP and legal requirements
- Support disclosures for 10-Q, 10-K
- Support US GAAP and statutory audits
- Provide GAAP and company policy guidance to other functional departments and business
- Review journal entries and accounting reconciliations for Lux
- Support financial analysis, analytical reviews of actuals versus forecast and balance sheet analytics
- Support relevant business process controls and processes are documented and tested in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and that no un-remediated control gaps exist
- Responsible for other local regulatory reporting requirements
- Support design and implementation of finance processes and drive continuous improvement activities
- Support Business partnering with key internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain a good relationship with audit teams, shared service centers and other external service providers
- Supporting local, regional and/or global initiatives/projects
- Manage a team of 3 direct reports and coordinate GBS Team members

**To join our team,** **you'll need**:
**Experience**
- Minimum 4-6 years working experience within accounting/finance department of a large company or audit firm
- Experience in manufacturing and/or FMCG environment
- Solid Background and experience in US GAAP (incl. SOX) and Statutory Lux GAAP
- Fast Closing experience beneficial
- First supervisory experience would be considered an asset

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration with focus on accounting/controlling
- A graduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required

**Language**:
English is a must, French or German considered an advantage

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX and LUX GAAP (Preferable)
- Solid communication skills to coordinate with and communicate financial information to various functions and levels of the organization
- Ability to view complex/conflicting data as well as processes and identify problems and propose solutions/alternatives
- Ability to function in a team environment as a member and a leader
- Ensure development of team and team members
- Competency with computer systems: database, spreadsheet, ERP-based financial system (SAP preferred), internet and reporting tools such as Essbase
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
