SENIOR COMPLIANCE OFFICER - SPANISH AUTHORITIES (H/F) (JOB NUMBER: BGL002651) **_BGL BNP Paribas_**_ is one of the largest banks in Luxembourg and part of the BNP Paribas Group. _ - It offers an especially wide range of financial products and bancassurance solutions to individuals, professionals, businesses and private banking clients. _ - In 2020, _**_BGL BNP Paribas _**_was named “Best Bank in Luxembourg” by Euromoney for the fifth year in a row._ - As part of its development, we are looking for a:_ **Senior Compliance Officer** **Permanent Contract** **Working Environment**: Reports hierarchically to the Head of Financial security of the Compliance Function as the main identified stake relates to AML/CFT topics Member of the Management Team of the Compliance Function Providing reasonable assurance to the CEO and to the CCO that adequate compliance set-ups are in place consistent with applicable spanish laws and regulations Serving as preferred point of contact for Business on compliance spanish matters Assessing a consolidated vision of spanish compliance risks and reporting to Business teams and Compliance ExCo Developing and maintaining a strong spanish Compliance culture Exercising escalation rights and alert duty **Your mission**: The Representative Compliance is responsible for the following activities for BGLBNPP: - Provides reasonable assurance towards BGLBNPP CEO and CCO, BGL BNP Paribas Board, Bank's governance bodies and Spanish regulators on the compliance of the operations / activities with Spanish laws and regulations concerning the freedom of services regime in Spain and ensures action plans are launched for perceived weaknesses with the support of the Compliance operational teams - Adapts policies, procedures and control plan if needed - Controls the effective implementation of Compliance rules and guarantees the effective implementation of associated policies & control set-ups - Follow & Controls the effective implementation of Compliance tools & systems - Makes Compliance decisions on issues in his/her scope of responsibility and in accordance with his/her delegation, involving the Compliance Domains or CO when relevant. - Provides support and guidance to teams - Ensures the interface between the business and the Spanish regulatory authorities. - Aggregates and reports risk on specific issues and mitigation plan to the CEO, CCO and BGL BNP Paribas Board - Establishes an appropriate governance to manage all Spanish risk of non-compliance (Compliance Domains) : leveraging Business Lines COs expertise, Leveraging Domains COs expertise and taking into account Spanish requirements - Identifies required improvements of organization, tools and processes needed by Spanish requirements - Identifies local training needs and monitors the specific training plan linked to Spanish requirements for Compliance staff, other functions and the business **Your profile** **Education**: Bac +4/+5 in Finance / Economic Science / Legal **Professional experience**: Experience in Compliance, Legal or other risk control function. **Behavioural Skills**: - Integrity - Accuracy - _Directing in a positive way (hold one's positions in complex circumstances)_ - Self-confidence (independent mindset) - _Client focus_ - _Vision_ - _Decision-making skills_ - _Impact_ - Ability to learn (curiosity) - Acting with perspective - Developing others **Technical Skills**: - General knowledge of applicable Spanish regulatory framework and its evolutions - Knowledge of Compliance issues and challenges specific to BGLBNPP - Knowledge of the Bank (processes, products, clients ) - Legal culture and literacy **Language Skills**: Fluent in Spanish, working skills in French and English **Primary Location**: Luxembourg **Job Type**: Standard / Permanent **Job**: COMPLIANCE **Education Level***: Bachelor Degree or equivalent (>= 3 years) **Experience Level***: At least 3 years **Schedule**: Full-time
