Senior Consultant

KPMG Luxembourg is looking for a forward-thinking and smart individual to support the continuous improvement and deployment of the data analytics' capabilities within the company for projects linked to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance). They will help clients manage and compute ESG data to comply with the latest ESG regulatory requirements. Job purpose:
To support our growth, our ESG team is looking for a Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager to support on ESG related developments, mainly focus on ESG data analytics, but also including the consulting approach: assessment of client needs, project management etc.

Being a member of our ESG Team, you bring your experience and open, innovative mindset to facilitate the implementation of data analytics in the field of ESG, to support companies monitor their ESG performance from the three ESG pillars:

- Environmental: GHG emissions and carbon footprint, energy efficiency, water efficiency, hazardous waste, exposure to fossil fuels etc,
- Social: Human rights compliance (anti-child labour and anti-human trafficking policies), workforce and labour rights, exposure to controversial weapons (e.g., cluster bombs) etc,
- Governance: Business ethics and management structures.

You will be part of the ESG team overseeing a range of ESG data-related through data management and the development of data quality and analytics frameworks. You will work closely with clients to identify business rules, reviewing data models and integrations to enhance the client's analytics capabilities.

The role and responsibilities:
You will closely collaborate with various stakeholders to:

- Interact with clients for the documentation of ESG data requirements and support in the client onboarding process,
- Ability to create ESG data documentation, about standards and procedures,
- Implement processes and systems to collect and normalise ESG data,
- Facilitate the development and implementation of ESG data analytics tools,
- Support in the development of ESG data visualization tools,
- Support in the identification, logging and investigation of ESG data quality issues raised and assist in the remediation actions or work arounds to resolve them,
- Define and operationalize processes to continuously monitor and quality check ESG data completeness and accuracy,
- Support in ad-hoc ESG consulting services both from an Strategic (ESG vision and roadmap) and an Operational (process flow, prioritization) perspective.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or significant relevant work experience,
- Has from 3 to 6 years of primary experience in computer science, with proven understanding of data analytics/interfacing methods & technologies,
- Proficiency in VBA,
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python, PowerBI or other similar tools,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Tools (Powerpoint, Word, Excel),
- Experience with data collection from various internal and external data sources,
- A strong professional background in data manipulation, data analytics, and/or system analysis,
- Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy with data management,
- Interest in the field of Sustainability. Any previous experience managing ESG data is considered an asset,
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and drive your own projects,
- Creative, result oriented, looking for innovative and pragmatic solutions,
- You speak fluently English
