**Role Purpose**:
The Manager of Technology Platforms is responsible for defining the Platform roadmap and supervising the design, development, and operation of the solution to service all Vodafone Local markets and external third parties. This role also drives efficiency and effectiveness by enhancing the existing platform and delivering new technology enhancement through cross-platform design and delivery. This role also represents VRS in an external forum (GSMA).

**You will**:

- Drive, build, deliver, and roll out the VRS network-related solutions, including the technological and functional roadmap with a focus on virtualization and Cloud native re-architecture, ensuring Vodafone develops and maintains the best in class roaming service provision, in line with the business requirements and working with broader Vodafone organizations (GT, VPC, Local Markets), external partners, and third-party customers.
- Manages the onboarding of the Local Markets and third parties to the centralized solution and provides support during the migration and into the BAU phase of the service provision and service operations
- Work with local markets in defining, maintaining, and enhancing KPIs for new technologies
- Strategically understand the latest GSMA standards, operating requirements, and wider industry developments to incorporate into VRS strategy. Advise senior management on how to adopt best practices. Promote and influence the interest of VRS in relevant forums.
- Manage relationships, roadmap, and strategy with key vendors and serve as the primary escalation point and liaison between vendors and senior leadership.
- Ensure a business continuity plan outlines procedures and instructions that VRS must follow in the face of an accident.
- Service incident, escalation, and problem management, including diagnosis, follow-up, and restoration of incidents, investigating trends, and performing root cause analysis for problems.

**You must have...**:

- Project management skills including change management, issue, and risk management.
- Strategic thinking with customer focus and an understanding of market needs.
- Stakeholder and vendor management skills, including influencing, negotiation, and effective communication.
- Deep knowledge of voice and data telecommunication protocols for all mobile technologies.
- Experience with 4G/5G architectures infrastructures, and Network Cloudification.
- Experience in network engineering, planning, and operations technical process definition.
- English language proficiency (both written and spoken).
- University degree plus a minimum of 5 years’ Telecoms/Technology industry experience.

**It would be nice if you have**:

- Business/Commercial acumen, including commercial intelligence, commercial acumen in a B2B environment, and building a business case.
- Strong communication skills to influence the development of standards for 3GPP and GSMA.
- Experience as a Product Manager or Technology Product Owner in Telco.
- Experience with Telco IaaS and PaaS technologies.
- Experience with edge computing, infrastructure management, resource orchestration, Network Automation/Analytics/Operations, Telco IT, and open-source architectures
- Knowledge of additional language.
