We are looking for an experienced Project and Bid Manager to join our team, which has more than two decades of experience in the satellite industry.
In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of complex technical projects, from proposal and contract preparation through execution, reporting, and successful delivery. Our projects typically cover RF and optical satellite communications, ground-segment software, 5G/Ntn technologies, and other institutional or commercial telecommunications activities.
We are looking for someone who can manage projects independently, maintain a clear overview of scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and contractual commitments, and ensure that the right actions are taken without requiring continuous follow-up.
You will work closely with technical leads, system architects, software teams, customers, consortium partners, and institutional stakeholders. A good technical understanding is therefore important: you do not need to be the technical authority, but you should be able to follow technical discussions, understand their project impact, challenge assumptions where needed, and translate technical developments into clear project decisions and actions.
The role will also include bid and proposal management, supporting opportunities across ESA, EU, defense-related and commercial programs.

What we are looking for

  • You have a technical background (at least a B.Sc. or equivalent degree in a technical field) and are comfortable working closely with technical managers, system architects, software developers, and engineering teams.
  • You hold an active Prince2 certification (Foundation or Practitioner) with a proven track record of 5 years of experience in project management
  • You take ownership of a project and drive it independently, while escalating issues and decisions at the appropriate time. Independently managing complex technical projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
  • You understand technical discussions and assess their impact on project scope, schedule, cost, and risk, without needing to be the technical authority yourself.
  • You communicate clearly and work effectively with internal teams, customers, consortium partners, and institutional stakeholders.
  • You have strong bid and proposal management experience, including coordinating technical and commercial inputs, preparing compliance matrices, schedules, budgets, and proposal documentation.
  • You produce clear, well-structured project documentation and reports in advanced English.
What is nice to have:
  • Hands-on experience managing ESA, EC, Edf, NATO, and/or other institutional projects.
  • Good knowledge of ECSS standards and experience applying them in the delivery of institutional projects.
  • Experience with satellite communications, 5G/Ntn, ground-segment systems, software engineering and also familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Virtualization
  • Experience blending Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) with traditional Waterfall methodologies.
  • EU/EEA or NATO member-state citizenship, or an existing right to work in Luxembourg

What we offer

  • An attractive salary and relocation package.
  • A comprehensive training plan, starting with onboarding, which caters to your development needs and helps you achieve your career goals.
  • A supportive environment where people come first.
  • Flexible work options with certain remote possibilities.
  • An opportunity to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment with the latest technologies which affect the lives of billions of people around the globe.
  • Work-life balance which includes an exciting lifestyle in the heart of Europe, in the multicultural city of Luxembourg.
