We are looking for a hands-on, versatile Systems Administrator to take end-to-end ownership of our IT and engineering infrastructure. Joining a team with more than two decades of experience developing complex software solutions for the satellite and space industry, you will manage the full lifecycle of our on-premises server environment, network security, container and software development platforms, and day-to-day internal IT operations—ensuring our engineering teams have a reliable, secure, and high-performing environment to build in.
What we are looking for:
- Physical Infrastructure: Install, mount, and cable bare-meta l servers, switches, storage in our server racks, and manage hardware lifecycles and vendor warranties.
- Linux & Virtualization : Provision, configure, harden, and maintain physical and virtual Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian, RHEL/Rocky), networked storage (NAS/SAN), and automated backup/recovery systems.
- Containers & DevOps Tooling : Administer and troubleshoot Docker environments, on-premises Kubernetes clusters, self-hosted GitLab (including CI/CD runners), and JFrog Artifactory.
- Networking & Security : Configure and maintain Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate), switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, and enforce OS patching and security policies.
- Internal IT Operations : Oversee end-to-end workplace IT—including hardware procurement, workstation setups, user onboarding/offboarding, software licensing, and office peripherals/equipment.
- Documentation : Maintain clear documentation of network topologies, asset inventories, and recovery procedures.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator or IT/Infrastructure Engineer in a software or high-tech environment.
- Strong Linux skills : deep familiarity with Linux administration, shell scripting, storage, and system troubleshooting.
- Nice to have : DevOps & Container tooling. Practical experience managing Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, and Artifactory.
- Networking & Fortinet (or other vendor) : Solid grasp of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and direct experience configuring Fortinet firewalls and VPNs.
- Physical hardware know-how : Comfortable racking servers, running structured cabling, and diagnosing hardware issues on-site.
- Pragmatic mindset : Self-starter comfortable owning both core engineering infrastructure and everyday internal IT support.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 users , SharePoint sites and permissions, including password resets and employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Communication & Work Permit: Fluent English and EU/EEA/NATO citizenship or a valid Luxembourg work permit.
