Pictet Asset Services provides custody, fund services and trading solutions for external asset managers, fund managers and institutional clients. We manage every aspect of the asset servicing value chain and our range of bespoke solutions include value-adding analytics, trading strategy support and digital front-end interfaces designed to provide an unrivalled customer experience.

The scope of the function is to be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing client relationships in the private custody space. The Head of Private Custody – LUX plays a critical role in developing and implementing business development strategies, expanding our client base, and delivering exceptional client service.

The Head of Private Custody – LUX is also responsible for staff in Monaco, or in other relevant locations.

This position involves frequent travel outside of Luxembourg.

Your role
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the private custody segmen. Understand their unique needs, objectives, and challenges. Provide exceptional client service, address inquiries, and proactively identify opportunities to deepen relationships and deliver value-added solutions.
  • Identify and target prospective clients, develop and execute effective prospecting and lead generation strategies. Conduct presentations, pitches, and negotiations to acquire new clients. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and implementation of new client relationships.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy, aligned with the organization's growth objectives. Identify market opportunities, target client segments, and develop strategies to expand our presence and market share in the private custody space.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders, including family offices, wealth management firms, and financial intermediaries. Evaluate and negotiate partnership agreements to enhance our market presence, expand distribution channels, and access new client segments.
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape in the private custody space in Luxembourg. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential clients.
  • Drive revenue growth through cross-selling, upselling, and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships. Collaborate with product teams to develop customized solutions that meet client needs and drive revenue generation. Monitor revenue targets and performance metrics.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to private custody clients in Luxembourg, providing strategic guidance and insights. Foster long-term relationships built on trust, transparency, and exceptional service. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and client service, to ensure client satisfaction and deliver on client expectations.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive client reports, performance updates, and business reviews for private custody clients. Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on market trends, regulatory changes, and relevant industry news.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including business development, marketing, product development, and operations, to drive coordinated efforts and leverage cross-functional expertise.
  • Lead and manage the Business Development & Client Relationship Management team for private custody in Luxembourg & in other locations. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree Finance or business
  • Minimum 10 years' experience In business development and client relationship management
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, acquiring new clients, and expanding existing client relationships in the private custody space.Strong understanding of private custody services, including custody of assets, reporting, and associated regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
