Head of Collection

About Satispay

Satispay stands as a recognised leader in the European FinTech landscape, a company where a relentless drive for achievement is powered by a clear, impactful mission. We were born from a powerful vision to revolutionise everyday payments, making them simple, fair, and accessible to everyone. Our strategic imperative is to continue shaping the future of money by simplifying complex financial interactions to profoundly improve people's lives.

As a high-growth scale-up, Satispay represents a dynamic environment at the forefront. Joining our team means stepping into a critical role with the authority and responsibility to drive significant business outcomes and shape the strategic trajectory of the company and the industry.

We are powered by a culture of ownership, relentless execution, and strategic foresight. We are brave in our approach, making courageous decisions and tackling challenges head-on, underpinned by a deep sense of responsibility for sustainable, ethical, and long-term success.

What you'll be doing

As our Head of Collection, you'll be at the forefront of our financial performance with a direct impact on our asset quality. Your mission is to design and deliver the entire collection strategy, optimizing the process to maximize returns while minimizing costs. To do this, you will lead a dedicated team of analysts and operational agents, owning the complete end-to-end process from early delinquency through to managing external debt collection agencies. This high-impact leadership role also requires building strong connections with key internal stakeholders (like Business, Product, and Risk) and external partners.

This is an opportunity to lead within a high-growth, constantly evolving environment – a challenge perfectly suited for an executive ready to navigate and shape change at scale and contribute to something bigger.

In this role, embodying ownership and a commitment to craving impact, you will be expected to deliver significant results by:

  • Designing and executing the collection strategy. Analyzing data to create the most effective contact strategy, then implement it operationally using best-in-class market technologies (e.g., predictive dialers, 2-way SMS).

  • Leading and developing your team. Leading a team with two souls—operational (agents) and analytical (analysts)—and being responsible for their growth, motivation, and driving them to achieve excellent performance.

  • Optimizing performance and ROI. Constantly monitoring performance through analysis and reporting, ensuring every investment in collection activities generates maximum return and presenting clear insights to senior management.

  • Guaranteeing service levels. Ensuring that all SLAs are met, guaranteeing that customers are attended to and served in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Managing Stakeholder Collaboration. Coordinating closely with internal teams (Risk, Product, Legal, Customer Care) to ensure the collection process is an integrated part of the customer experience, while also managing key relationships with external stakeholders like debt collection agencies, bureaus, and regulators.

  • Innovating and managing strategic relationships. Constantly researching new technologies and approaches to innovate our processes. You'll manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal (Risk, Product, Legal) and external (collection agencies, credit bureaus).

You will lead and mentor high-performing teams, collaborate closely with peers with structured communication and transparency, demonstrating a commitment to integrity and ownership.

Who we're looking for

We are seeking a proven leader with a distinguished track record of success in driving strategic initiatives and achieving significant business growth within relevant sectors.

You will lead by example, combining ambition with purpose, drive impactful results and cultivate ownership and continuous improvement in our dynamic environment.

  • Experience in Credit & Collections. You have at least 7 years of experience in the field, with a solid track record in a leadership role and a degree in economics, finance, or a quantitative field.

  • Strategic Acumen. You have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing complex collection strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce costs.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Mindset. You possess excellent analytical skills. You know how to use data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance and drive actionable insights.

  • Leadership Skills. You have direct experience in managing and developing teams, fostering a culture based on performance, collaboration, and the growth of your people.

  • Stakeholder Management. You know how to communicate effectively and manage complex relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, translating complex data into clear, actionable messages.

We recognise that exceptional leadership comes in many forms. If you believe you have the vision, experience, and drive to help us shape the future of money, we encourage you to apply. We value the unique perspectives and strengths that exceptional leaders bring, even if their experience doesn't align with every listed requirement.
