What you'll be doing

As a Fraud Data Analyst, you will drive strategic insight generation and operational excellence across our FinCrime and Compliance analytics landscape. You will work cross-functionally with Data Engineering and Product to ensure robust, scalable data practices. You bring a deep understanding of financial crime risks, regulatory reporting standards, and a passion for data storytelling that influences real-world anti-financial crime outcomes. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Ensure accurate regulatory reporting – By translating complex regulatory requirements into precise data models and reporting logic, and delivering accurate, timely, and auditable data for all regulatory reporting and compliance obligations.

  • Deliver data-driven impact – By bringing concrete impact to the FinCrime Operations & Compliance department through in-depth analysis of transaction data, identifying patterns of suspicious activity, providing accurate risk assessments, and generating actionable insights to improve fraud detection and prevention strategies.

  • Manage analytic solutions and outcomes – By modernizing, standardizing, and maintaining existing analytic solutions and tools used for FinCrime analysis, and by coordinating the creation of key data visualizations such as dashboards and reports to effectively communicate findings related to financial crime trends and risks.

  • Partner with data engineering – By collaborating closely with the Data Engineering team to define and continuously improve data structure, data pipelines, and visualization layers specific to FinCrime data, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our data infrastructure for fraud and AML/CTF analysis.

  • Enhance data-driven culture – By actively supporting decision-making processes within the FinCrime Operations and Compliance Department and promoting data literacy and proactive analytics across the FinCrime and Compliance teams through training and ad-hoc analytical support.

Who we're looking for 

We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in Does this sound like you?

  • Experience & Analytical Skills – 3+ years of working experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles, demonstrating strong analytical, statistical, and quantitative problem-solving skills applied to complex datasets and business challenges.

  • Technical Expertise – Advanced knowledge of SQL with a focus on query optimization for performance, extensive knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation, and significant experience with data visualization tools such as Looker and Tableau.

  • Regulatory Analytics Expertise - Proven track record of designing and delivering impactful analytics in a regulated environment.

  • Communication Skills – Ability to communicate complex data insights in a structured and convincing manner, building trust and fostering positive and professional relationships with various technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.

  • Language Proficiency – Fluency in English, Italian is a plus.
