Sr Manager, Middle Mile Fleet Management, EU Global Fleet

Global Fleet and Products (GFP) is seeking an experienced leader to drive operational excellence across our growing European tractor and trailer fleet. As Senior Manager, you will lead a team of six or more professionals while designing and executing the strategic vision for EU Middle Mile Fleet operations. This role requires a proven leader in program management, product management, or business development, who can drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage complex stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.

You'll be responsible for leading vendor relationships, structuring strategic partnerships, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance fleet efficiency and reliability. While transportation or logistics industry experience is preferred, we value candidates with demonstrated success in strategic planning, team leadership, and complex program management. A bachelor's degree is required, and an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred. Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic partnerships across the transportation ecosystem, focusing on long-term value creation and sustainable competitive advantages for Amazon's EU Middle Mile operations

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive third-party strategies to enhance fleet safety, operational efficiency, and network reliability, with measurable KPIs and clear ROI targets

• Establish governance frameworks and performance metrics across internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment with Amazon's operational excellence standards and business objectives

• Identify and capitalize on strategic commercial opportunities through cross-functional collaboration, driving innovation and cost optimization in the EU Middle Mile network

• Own executive-level business reviews and strategic planning sessions, delivering data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership

• Design and implement robust vendor performance management systems, including accountability frameworks, SLAs, and continuous improvement programs

• Drive the EU Middle Mile growth strategy in partnership with global product and operations teams, incorporating regional requirements into the global roadmap while ensuring scalability and operational feasibility

• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives that span across geographies and business units, delivering solutions that drive step-change improvements in fleet performance

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with business partners
- Experience in a professional field or military
- Experience writing and publishing technical documents or equivalent
- Experience prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple teams in support of business goals

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or above
- Experience in transportation operations and industry knowledge
